Welcome to the 1st Annual Planet Granite Music & Dance Festival

We are thrilled to welcome you to the 1st Annual Planet Granite Music & Dance Festival. You might wonder, “Why Planet Granite?” Our inspiration comes from a desire to celebrate our shared humanity and creativity in harmony with the very earth beneath us. The name honors the amazing granite—quarried nearby in 1899—from which our historic church is built. Set along the scenic Norwalk River, we sit right next door to the historic Gilbert & Bennett Wire Mill Factory, a site currently awaiting its own transformation as part of the Georgetown Revitalization effort.

This festival is more than just a series of performances; it is a gathering of artists and community members in a shared experience designed to ignite creativity. By joining us, you are supporting the nonprofit restoration and programming of a true cornerstone for cultural life in the greater Georgetown area. Historic Georgetown Village is a place where nature meets the arts in a vibrant, walkable community, and we cannot wait to share that magic with you this September.

As we embark on this inaugural year, we are filled with immense pride and gratitude for everything we have built together since the building’s reopening in May 2024. This journey would not be possible without our dedicated staff, volunteers, sponsors, and partners. Most importantly, we are grateful for our inspirational artists and for you—our faithful audience—who help make The Granite a gathering place for all generations. Your participation directly fuels the live performances and cultural programming that bring us all together. We look forward to seeing you there!
